Give your customers the OOMPH …Feelings
Hiya, how are you? I have finally cleared a lot of my stuffs and now more settled down to start doing my favorite things, like writing, blogging, connecting with people in the blogosphere, friends and acquaintances alike.
After all the physical work, my body sent me a message, telling me this “Hey, sweetie, I need a good rest, and if you can give me a good massage, I will be most happy”
..and my response to my dear body.. “Yes, sweetie, thank you for being my good body, supporting me to do so much during this relocation. You certainly deserve a good treat from me.. here we go… to have a good massage”
So I went. Due to my relocation, I wanted to try a new spa which is near my new place.
When I entered the spa, the lady was nice and told me about their services. I asked about the price and was told of a promotion that they are giving. So I thought I’d just try out their skills. With massages, I am very particular with their skills, the way they handle my body….
I will judge their skills by the strength of their touch. Too soft, it will be like just tickling me, but I don’t like it when it is too strong either, it’s like placing yourself in a torture chamber
The touch of the masseur must be just right, the timing too.
When the massage has finished, if there is a OOMPH ..this is good response, the masseur has done a great job. But if there is no oomph feeling it will be thumbs down for this masseur.
Hmm.. what I can say is that I didn’t feel the “OOMPH ..this is gooooood feeling” by this masseur. She just “ did her job ”, and I could tell. So when I got up from the massage bed, I was not too excited about it.
You know when you get to the counter to pay, you will be given some “pushing” with some sales pitch to sign up a package they are offering.
Becos I didn’t have the “OOMPH feeling” I was not about to sign up anything with this spa. The poor lady had to do a lot of hard work to try to convince me. Nope, I will not budge. So after turning her down many times, she finally gave up. I walked out not feeling anything.
Another time, I went to another spa to try. Again, there was also a promotion to try their massage before we commit to take up anything from them or not.
This time, the masseur did a fantastic job,, she really gave her all, everything was just right, and after the whole massage, I was not only feeling the OOMPH … but also the “Holala” feelings. So when I sat down at the lounge, she didn’t have to convince me to sign up for their package. In turn I asked her lots of questions about their spa and services.
So I took up a package with them without the lady pushing me to sign up.
The moral of the story? What have I learned from this experience ?
The first impression ALWAYS counts
1. The first impression ALWAYS counts and is also a determining factor
whether your potential customers will return or not in the service line, as well as when you are offering products.
Do Your Best
2. Do your best, do it with all your heart and soul when it comes to offering your services, or products even though you are giving a trial period for your customers.
Don’t think that you will only give the meat when your customers pay the full price and only give half the meat when you are offering the trial period. If you do decide to let your customers try your products or services,
then give your best, not half best. The 1st masseur has lost me as their clients because I could tell by the way of your commitment…btw, she didn’t even give me the full one hour massage as promised.
Hard selling is the most tiring work in the world
3. If your services and products are great, you really don’t have to “push” your customers to invest in them. You only have to give more information about your products and services, and the customers will decide to go ahead or not.
Well, maybe just a little help to nudge them but no need to hard sell. Hard selling is the most tiring work in the world.. in my opinion. I will also remind myself of this experience consistently. So that I can offer my best when I have my own products to offer.
However, over the course of time, I have used some products that are great, and they do deliver what they promised.
My recommended list of quality products:
1. Bill Harris’ CenterPointe Holoysnc Brainwave technology
2. Mike Brescia’s Think Right Now
3. Guy Finley’s “The Secret of Letting Go”
4. Lorraine Cohen’s “Transform Your Fear Into Power“
5. Doug Bench’s – Brain Apple – Mind Your Brain
6. Steve G. Jones’ Hypnosis Mp3 Audios
7. Glenn Harrold’s Hypnosis Mp3 Audios

I’m with you Gamy
I am very particular about massages. I have amazing ones and so-so ones. I can tell when I get up by the way my body feels. I love the ooomph! The hard sells to get me to buy are a big turnoff.
Your points about giving people room to say yes and giving value to people is what I believe. It’s the intention of, “How can I be of service to you?” and showing up for that person.
We know when someone is being mechanical or false. We know when people bring their heart and energy into the experience as well as skill. OOMPH and Holala!
Thanks for adding my fear program to your list and the email to let me know about the article.
You’ve been Dugg and Stumbled too!
Love,
Lorraine

Come to think of it, I am your customer

Gamy
Thank YOU Gamy
I love what I do and I believe that comes through to folks.
I have found that when people are skillful AND love what they’re doing, that adds so much more to the experience. oohs & ahs to the oomph and Holala,
Have a great day!
Blessings,
Lorraine
