Nobody will love to be punched. But as we live in this earth, life will throw some punches at you. Hard punches, medium punches or light punches, that is depending on how strong we are.

I recently had some muscle aches, so I went for some treatment. As the therapist landed her fingers on my soar muscle, I gave a medium Arrrr.. didn’t want to gain attention, so I tried to control myself from screaming….but under my breath, I was giving a Arrrrr… very painful.. kinda scream. Amazingly, the therapist said it with a laugh “I am only using 20 percent of my strength, and you want to scream, what if I use 100 percent of my strength, you will be hitting my roof” You must learn to take the pain.

I was saying this in my heart “why don’t you take over my shoe?” and let’s see how you perform.

However on second thought, she was right, we must learn to take the pain. How much I can take the pain will be how fast I can get over with this treatment.

I recently heard Stephen Pierce talked about taking life punches but we must learn to get up! He said, “It’s ok to get the punches from life, in fact, everybody will have punches from life, as long as we are still breathing.

Life will punch, and sometimes we will also fall. It’s Ok to fall, don’t feel ashamed even though you fall, but remember, it’s ok to fall, but it’s NOT ok to stay down, get up! No matter how much and how hard the punches are, it’s ok to fall, but GET UP before the count of 10 finishes. Then and only then, you will still be in the fight. As long as you are in the fight, who can say that you won’t win?

Only when you stay down, long enough to let the referee of life finishes counting of 10, then you are OUT of the fight. The result will be zero possibility of winning this fight.

How much you can take will depend largely on how strong you are, how strong physically, emotionally and mentally you are.

I forgot to tell you, the therapist was a very small size lady but with huge strength in her.

Enough strength to cause pain on my soar muscles. I guess I really have to be strong to meet her the next round ;)

    Hello, Gamy:

Thank you for sharing your experience and encouraging us with your perspective on life’s punches. I enjoyed reading the inspirational quotes, too.

One quote that always comes to my mind is, “It’s not how many times you get knocked down, but how many times you get back up that counts.”
